Weekly updates from Too Lost in under five minutes
Happy Wednesday! šŗ Hereās what weāre filling you in on in the next five minutes: a stress-free way to promote your music in 2024, a Too Lost feature that helps you protect your content, and an absolutely epic Artist of the Week. š«
Amazon Music just made it easier than ever for independent artists to promote their releases. Hype Deck is the latest Amazon Music feature designed to take the stress out of music marketing. š¤
Hype Deck is essentially a template that artists personalize to easily promote their music. You can choose the colors, style, and graphics that match your aesthetic so the Hype Deck reflects who you are. š From there, artists can share these on Instagram stories, and when someone clicks on the image, they are led to your profile on Amazon Music.
Hype Deck isnāt just for promoting new music ā itās also for artists to share their accomplishments and hype themselves up. š If an artist is featured on an Amazon editorial playlist, there are options to share the playlist feature and your release. Hype Deck simplifies music promotion so artists can effortlessly share and connect with their audience.
Greenlist and Blocklist
This week weāre highlighting two features that give independent artists ultimate control over where their music travels across the web. š
Our Greenlist feature lets artists choose specific accounts that can use their protected content. This feature is currently integrated with all the social media platforms where you want your music, such as Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, TikTok, and Soundcloud. Submit a Greenlist Request to gain more exposure, fan engagement, and monetization with just a few clicks. ā
On the flip side, Blocklist prevents unauthorized usage of tracks on certain sites and services. By adding a track to the Blocklist, youāre proactively preventing leaks and unlicensed usage of your music. This is the perfect tool if you want music only available on particular platforms or if you want to better manage the usage of your content. š Our Blocklist is currently integrated with Daily Motion, Twitch, Soundcloud, Bolo Live, Lotomotif, Rizzle, VK, and Sharechat.
With Greenlist and Blocklist, you no longer have to worry about third-party uploads ā your content only goes where it belongs. Be in control, every time. š
Artist of the Week: Dizzy Fae
From singing solos in her kindergarten choir to sharing the stage with Lizzo, Dizzy Fae is a born entertainer. But Dizzy Faeās music is more than just a performanceāitās a journey toward self-discovery and empowerment. Ever since Dizzy Fae was a teenager, she knew that a conventional route wasnāt for her. Writing and performing were what she wanted to do for the rest of her lifeāpretty determined for a 16 year old right? š
In the early stages of her music career, she explored a mix of styles and directions in her releases. Jazz, R&B, hip hop, rap, house; she experimented with just about every genre. Nobody knew what to expect with each release, and Dizzy liked it that way. She wanted her music to be completely hers; she wasnāt trying to be anyone else.
Flash forward to today, and Dizzyās attitude toward her music has not changed. So while you still canāt find two Dizzy Fae songs that sound alike, her authenticity has always remained.
Dizzy Faeās recent release, āBackseat,ā captures her vibrant spirit, embracing diversity in her sound. Her sultry falsetto vocals, expressive delivery, and the catchy melody captivates you from the first note. "Backseatā has an infectious energy; you canāt help but get up and dance when you hear it. For Dizzy Fae, dance has always been a form of self expression. Her mission is to encourage others to express themselves in any way that feels right.
Dizzy Fae paired the release with a Dance Music Video that not only complements the song but also highlights her attention to aesthetics. The visuals are carefully curated, adding an extra layer of artistic development to the overall experience. Dizzy Fae exudes confidence and charisma in this track, reminding us that embracing your true self is infinitely more fun than trying to be someone else. š¦ Stream āBackseatā here: https://too.fm/backseat
