Artist of the Week: Lydia Luce 🍊
Lydia Luce is a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey began in Florida. Born into a family of musicians, she started playing violin at an early age. She was already performing in her mother’s orchestra by 13. Her love for classical music led her to attend Berklee College of Music and later earn a Master’s in viola performance from UCLA.
In 2018, Luce released her debut album, Azalea, which beautifully blends her classical training with Americana and folk influences. Her latest album, Florida Girl, marks her most intimate and revealing work to date, tackling themes such as eating disorders, difficult relationships, and self-acceptance through a mix of hypnotic melodies, electronic elements, and gentle yet powerful vocals.
Beyond her own music, Luce has collaborated with legends like Dolly Parton, Eminem, and Annie Lennox. As a TIDAL RISING artist, she is undoubtedly one to watch this year.
