Artist of the Week: TEHYA ❣️

TEHYA is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who has rapidly made a name for herself in the alternative pop scene. TEHYA grew up in Seattle but left home when she was 16 years old to live in an artist compound in the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. She spent her time teaching herself various instruments and learning about production, but she never released any music.

Now 23, TEHYA released her debut single, “crowd pleaser” in March. The punchy pop track is anything but the work of an amateur; TEHYA stands out with her distinctive sound and production style.

TEHYA recently earned a spot on the Bose X NME: C24 Mixtape through Bandlab, a significant milestone for the self-taught artist who started her journey there. Her song “peach pit” now shares the spotlight with tracks from artists like Teddy Swims, Artemas, and Laufey. TEHYA has also announced her upcoming debut EP.
